SUMMER FLING
The Summer Fling Race League is a fractional ownership stable managed by Minnesota Harness Racing, Inc. during the Running Aces meet from May – September.
Participants can purchase a share of a horse (or horses) at the beginning of the meet and enjoy owning a racehorse for the summer without having to pay any bills. Shares range from $100 – $450. Participants will earn up to 1% of the horse’s regular purse earnings.
If you’ve ever wanted to own a racehorse, here’s your opportunity to get your feet wet without a lot of risk. Several of our owners at Running Aces, got their start as participants in Summer Fling.

Opportunity #1:
Prom Queen is a 6yo black mare who has earnings of almost 80,000! With a mark of 1:54.0, she is a tough mare on the track. “PQ,” reigns from the Quentin Schneider barn for owner Robin Clements. Robin is a long-time supporter of Summer Fling and is excited to offer a horse to the program once again!
Our second horse, Frisky Pedro, another seven-year-old pacer, hails from the Nick Roland barn and is owned by Bill Dessert. Frisky Pedro made his career debut in Iowa and has traveled from coast to coast making appearances in Pennsylvania, Indiana, California and of course, Minnesota.
His lifetime mark of 1:52.4, came at the age of four at Harrah’s Philadelphia. Pedro is a little less than $3,000 away from $150,000 in lifetime earnings.
A .5 percent share of each horse (total 1%) is being sold for $100. Shares cannot be split.
Dylan the Great
Opportunity #2:
Dylan the Great, a seven-year-old trotter, is owned by Dave Dobbelmann and trained by Alexia Kehl. “Dill Pickle ” as he’s affectionately called, made his racing debut at Northfield Park in Ohio in 2018. He will be making his debut at Running Aces after spending most of this past winter racing at the top level at Cal Expo followed by a brief trip back to Northfield Park. At the age of three, Dylan the Great took his lifetime mark of 1:53.2, 1/5 of a second off the world record for 3YO geldings and has earned over $290,000 lifetime in only 87 starts.
A one percent share of Dylan the Great is being sold for $450.
